An Uzbekistan embassy will be opened in Stockholm

An embassy of Uzbekistan will be opened in Stockholm.  It will be the 36th embassy of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.  This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.

It is noted that on 3 August of the current year, the first diplomat of the new embassy of Uzbekistan in Sweden arrived in Stockholm.  Nodir Ganiyev, who was appointed as a consultant, acts as a temporary representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Sweden.

He was born in Ferghana and is 50 years old.  In 1993, he graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Philology of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan).  Since 1994, he has been working in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding various positions in the central apparatus and diplomatic offices of Uzbekistan abroad.

Before leaving for Sweden, he worked as the head of the department for cooperation with European countries and EU institutions under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He knows English, Arabic, Russian and French.
