Tax Committee issues warning to entrepreneurs

In recent days, fraudulent emails have been sent to entrepreneurs under the names of the Tashkent City Tax Department and the Interregional Tax Inspectorate for Large Taxpayers, the State Tax Committee reported in a public warning.

According to the committee, these messages are not official and are being distributed for fraudulent purposes. The emails are not registered within the tax system. Links contained in them may install malicious software on devices or be used to obtain personal data. All official communications from tax authorities are sent exclusively through the taxpayer’s personal account.

If a suspicious message is received, recipients are advised not to click on any links, not to open attached files, and to verify information only through official sources.

“Remain vigilant, do not fall victim to fraudsters, and ensure the security of your personal data,” the statement said.

Earlier, it was reported that in the Navoi region, an individual who distributed APK files and stole 2 billion soums from victims had been detained.
