Nearly 1 kg of hashish found in the car of a former internal affairs officer

In the Orta Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, 979 grams of hashish were discovered in a Lacetti car driven by a former internal affairs officer. This was reported by the State Security Service.

According to the report, during an operation in the Orta Chirchik district, law enforcement officers stopped a Lacetti car on the Buka–Tashkent route. The vehicle was driven by a former internal affairs officer, born in 1970. A citizen of Kazakhstan, born in 1975, and a resident of Buka district, born in 1989, were also in the car. During a search conducted in the presence of witnesses, 979 grams of hashish were found behind the back seat.

The operation continued, resulting in the arrest of two residents of the Bekabad district, born in 1989 and 2001, who were identified as accomplices. An additional 437 grams of hashish were seized from them.

A criminal case has been opened against the suspects under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and other actions with the intent of trafficking narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances, as well as their illegal distribution). A preventive measure of detention has been applied to them.

In a separate operation in the city of Ahangaran, Tashkent region, a resident of Yangiabad, born in 1988 and previously convicted, along with a citizen born in 1996 and living in the Birlik neighborhood, were detained. Authorities seized 976 grams of marijuana from them. A criminal case has been opened, and both individuals have been placed in detention.

Earlier, in the Kashkadarya region, authorities discovered that a farmer’s brother was cultivating narcotic plants on 20 acres of farmland belonging to his brother.
