By order of the Minister of Poverty Alleviation and Employment of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jahangir Sobitalievich Jumanov has been appointed head of the Main Department of Poverty Alleviation and Employment in the Fergana region, as reported by the Ministry of Employment.
Jahangir Jumanov, born in Fergana in 1982, is a highly educated economist with extensive experience in state authorities and administrative bodies.
Jumanov has held several key positions, including head of the Group for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Business Environment, First Deputy Mayor of the Oltiarik District for Financial, Economic, and Poverty Alleviation Issues, head of the District Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation Department, head of Export Assistance and Support for the Fergana Regional Government, head of the Secretariat on Finance, Economy, and Poverty Reduction Issues for the Fergana Regional Government, and Mayor of Furkat District.
For context, on July 17 of this year, Jahangir Jumanov was dismissed from his position as Mayor of Furkat District due to systematic deficiencies in his work, as noted during a video conference on economic growth rates in the regions chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
