Humanitarian aid is sent to Forish district from Syrdarya region

Humanitarian aid has been sent from Syrdarya region to the residents of Forish district of Jizzakh region.  This is reported by the press service under the Administration of the Syrdarya region.

It is noted that yesterday, 23 April, on behalf of the residents of the Syrdarya region, humanitarian aid in the form of various foodstuffs and bedding was sent to the flood-stricken residents of Forish.

“Many activists, MPs, businessmen and entrepreneurs of our region made an impartial contribution to this good cause.

Our people have always overcome such difficult times with unity and cohesion.  We witnessed this during the tragedy at the Sardoba reservoir.  At that time, these human values became more widespread, and all roads led our compatriots, including the high-minded people of Jizzakh, to Syrdarya», – the report of the regional government says.

It should be recalled that heavy rains on 20 April caused floods in the Bakhmal, Forish, Gallaorol and Sharof-Rashidov districts of the Jizzakh region.
The flooding in the Forish district killed five people and damaged 53 houses and their facilities.
