In Syrdarya, the youth leader became the temporary governor of the region

In Syrdarya, a youth leader, Dilmurod Rahimjonov, has assumed the role of acting governor for the region while Akmaljon Makhmudaliev, the current governor, is on a short-term vacation. This appointment was announced by the regional government.

The administration stated that the primary aim of this decision is to groom talented individuals equipped with modern knowledge and innovative thinking, fostering an environment where young leaders can showcase their skills and be motivated.

Dilmurod Rahimjonov was officially introduced to the regional governor's deputies and administrative staff during a meeting of the governmental team.

Starting his duties today, Rahimjonov's agenda includes acquainting himself with investment projects, social infrastructure, construction, and agricultural initiatives within the region. Furthermore, plans are underway for him to conduct outreach sessions and meetings with young people across different regions.

For context, Dilmurod Rahimjonov, aged 28, has served as the youth leader of ‘Dostlik’ neighborhood in Gulistan since 2022. He also achieved 3rd place in the 2023 Republic contest, "The Most Exemplary Youth Leader of the Year.”
