Shavkat Mirziyoyev leaves for Turkmenistan

At the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Turkmenistan today, August 4, on a working visit to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This was reported by the press service of the President.
The conference, to be held in Avaza, will address issues such as strengthening transport connectivity, simplifying trade procedures, promoting economic transformation, increasing resilience to climate change and environmental risks, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The adoption of the Avaza Political Declaration and Action Program is expected. The event, taking place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, will be attended by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, as well as heads of foreign states and governments, and representatives of international and regional organizations.
The President of Uzbekistan is also scheduled to participate in an event dedicated to preparations for the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of Central Asian States and to hold several bilateral meetings.
It should be recalled that it was previously reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev would pay a working visit to Turkmenistan.
