Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits Heroes’ Square in Tbilisi

Today, July 3, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Heroes’ Square in Tbilisi as part of his state visit to Georgia. The Presidential Press Service reported this.

It was noted that a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the Uzbek leader.

The head of state laid a wreath at the memorial to the heroes who died for the unity of Georgia. The national anthems of Uzbekistan and Georgia were performed by a military orchestra.

It is worth noting that Shavkat Mirziyoyev is currently in Georgia on a state visit. Yesterday, July 2, talks were held between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili at the Orbeliani Palace in Tbilisi. Also, as part of the events in Tbilisi, a ceremony was held to award Shavkat Mirziyoyev Georgia’s highest state honor — the Order of the Golden Fleece.
