Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives the Prosecutor General of Russia

According to the Presidential Press Service, on November 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Igor Krasnov, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, during his working visit to Uzbekistan.

The meeting addressed issues related to enhancing the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership based on agreements reached at the highest level.

Discussions included practical cooperation between the Prosecutor General's Offices in combating terrorism, extremism, cybercrime, corruption, and illegal migration, as well as the return of criminal assets, the use of artificial intelligence, and the digitalization of processes.

“The importance of establishing a close dialogue between the prosecutor's offices of both countries, expanding mutual contacts, and organizing joint events was highlighted,” the report stated.

It is worth noting that Igor Krasnov’s arrival in Tashkent had been previously announced. During his visit, he and his Uzbek counterpart discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, exchanged views on protecting citizens’ rights, and explored mechanisms for combating crime effectively.
