Shavkat Mirziyoyev given ceremonial welcome in Pakistan

A formal welcoming ceremony was held for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the residence of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the press service of the Uzbek leader reported.

According to the press service, the national flags of both countries were raised in honor of the high-ranking guest, an honor guard was formed, and the national anthems were played.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif greeted members of their official delegations.

Following a joint photo session, high-level talks commenced.

Earlier, it was reported that President Mirziyoyev visited the headquarters of Global Industrial and Defence Solutions in Pakistan, where he met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and also received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ishaq Dar.
