Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds a meeting with the director of the “Oppenheimer” company

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with John Tonelli, the managing director of the "Oppenheimer" investment company in New York. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of implementing projects in Uzbekistan with the investment of this large investment bank, whose assets are worth 36 billion dollars. John Tonelli expressed his satisfaction with the agreements reached regarding the attraction of private investments for large-scale projects aimed at organizing and modernizing industrial facilities in the republic.

In the initial stage, the financing will focus on the development of textile clusters, building materials industry enterprises, and infrastructure development projects in Tashkent city. Additionally, plans include investments in support of small and medium-sized businesses.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved these plans and instructed officials to initiate practical work as soon as possible.
