Shavkat Mirziyoyev also speaks with Emomali Rahmon

Today, March 18, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The press service of the President reported this information.  

At the beginning of the conversation, the two leaders sincerely congratulated each other on the upcoming Nawruz holiday, wishing good health, prosperity, success, peace, and well-being to their fraternal peoples.  

"Particular attention was given to the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.  

The importance of maintaining an active political dialogue, supporting and advancing cooperation projects in key economic sectors, and promoting cultural, humanitarian, and interregional exchange programs was emphasized," the report stated.  

The leaders also reviewed preparations for the upcoming trilateral meeting in Tajikistan at the end of March, as well as the "Central Asia Plus" summits set to take place in Uzbekistan between April and May.  

It is worth noting that earlier today, March 18, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also held a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
