Shavkat Mirziyoyev expresses condolences to the UAE leadership

Today, 15 May, the president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met in Abu Dhabi with the new president of the United Arab Emirates Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and deputy prime minister, minister for Presidential Affairs Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and expressed his condolences to them.

President of France Emmanuel Macron, prime minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson, president of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, president of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, prime minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, the sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet, a total of about 40 heads of state and governments attended in today’s funeral.

For reference, the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan died on 13 May at the age of 73 after a long illness.

Consequently, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, was elected president on 14 May.
