5812Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were introduced at Tashkent International Airport at 16:03 local time due to a sudden change in wind direction, Uzbekistan Airways reported.
As a result, several flights scheduled to land in Tashkent were redirected to alternate airports. Specifically:
- Flight HH-2232 operated by Kanot Sharq on the Kamran–Tashkent route (scheduled to land at 16:35)
- Flight HY-9732 operated by Uzbekistan Airways on the Makhachkala–Tashkent route (scheduled to land at 16:42)
- Flight HY-424 operated by Uzbekistan Airways on the Delhi–Tashkent route (scheduled to land at 16:51)
These flights were redirected to Samarkand Airport. Meanwhile, Flight KC-123 operated by Air Astana on the Astana–Tashkent route diverted to the reserve airfield in Turkestan.
By 16:30, the weather conditions had stabilized, and the restrictions at Tashkent Airport were lifted.
“The airport is now operating as usual. Aircraft that had been diverted to alternate airports are currently preparing to fly to Tashkent,” the statement said.
