5601In a major initiative to promote awareness and inclusivity, at least five motivational documentaries and feature films focusing on the lives and achievements of people with disabilities will be produced in 2025. Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection, has been tasked with coordinating this effort. The announcement was made during a videoconference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on December 13, which addressed ongoing and future priorities in the field of social protection.
The initiative aims to combat the lack of self-confidence among some individuals with disabilities, a problem often exacerbated by psychological pressure. The President emphasized the importance of showcasing stories of resilience and heroism, highlighting individuals who overcome adversity and inspire others.
The President cited the example of Dilorom Yuldasheva, a resident of Denov who was recognized internationally as one of the “Top 100” most inspiring women in the world. Despite living with a disability, Yuldasheva established a sewing enterprise, employing 40 underprivileged women.
“If we can set such strong-willed, determined people as an example for everyone, we should be proud of them,” President Mirziyoyev said.
In recognition of her remarkable achievements, Dilorom Yuldasheva was awarded the prestigious “Courage” (Mardlik) Order during the meeting.
President Mirziyoyev has instructed officials to prioritize creating accessible and comfortable environments for people with disabilities. Deputy Prosecutor General Isroil Adhamov was directed to address issues where progress has stalled. Additionally, Mansurbek Olloyorov, Director of the Social Protection Agency; Hilola Umarova, Minister of Preschool and School Education; and Kungratbay Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, were tasked with implementing relevant improvements.
