At the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit held in Tianjin, China, on September 1, member states signed 20 agreements.
The documents include:
- The Tianjin Declaration of the SCO Heads of State Council
- A resolution approving documents adopted at the meeting
- The SCO Development Strategy through 2035
- A cooperation programme of SCO member states to combat extremist ideologies for 2026–2030
- A roadmap for implementing the SCO Energy Cooperation Development Strategy through 2030
- A resolution granting Laos dialogue partner status in the SCO
- A resolution granting the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) observer status in the SCO
- A resolution on the status of “SCO Partner”
- A resolution declaring Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, the SCO Cultural and Tourism Capital for 2025–2026
- A resolution authorising the SCO Secretary-General to sign relevant documents
- A protocol amending the 2004 agreement between the SCO and the Chinese government on the SCO Secretariat’s operations in China
- A memorandum of understanding between the SCO Secretariat and the Roscongress Foundation
- A resolution approving annual activity reports of the SCO, including the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure’s 2024 report
- An agreement on the SCO Counter-Narcotics Centre
- An agreement on a Universal Centre for addressing security threats and challenges
- A statement marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations
- A statement on strengthening cooperation in the digital economy
- A statement on sustainable energy development
- A statement on cooperation in the green industry sector
- A statement on advancing international cooperation in artificial intelligence
- A statement supporting a multilateral trading system
- A statement on addressing the global drug problem
- A statement on scientific, technical, and innovation cooperation
- A statement by SCO ministers and agency heads on strengthening investment cooperation for sustainable development

The SCO summit, held from August 31 to September 1 in Tianjin, gathered leaders from more than 20 countries and representatives of 10 international organisations. A total of 15 new cooperation documents were signed during the event. The SCO was established in Shanghai on June 15, 2001, initially bringing together six founding members: Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan joined in 2017, Iran in 2023, and Belarus in 2024.
