A fire broke out in shops near the subway in Sergeli

A fire erupted today, January 15, in shops situated in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The emergency department of Tashkent city received a fire report at 2:56 p.m., specifically from a light construction store on Kanora street, Sergeli district.

Responding swiftly, four fire rescue crews arrived at the scene by 3:01 p.m. The fire was successfully contained by 3:05 p.m. and completely extinguished by 3:12 p.m.

Fortunately, no individuals suffered injuries or fatalities due to the incident. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Notably, the affected store was in proximity to the underground subway. However, the Tashkent metro administration assures that the fire near the "Qipchoq" and "Turon" stations had no impact on the metro system.

It's worth mentioning that today, there was another fire in a temporary food establishment on Asia street in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent city.
