6952Today 18 November, the thirty-fifth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan began its work in Tashkent.
The Senate, members of the government, representatives of ministries and agencies, members of the Youth Parliament under the Senate, and media workers are participating in it.
The plenary session, which is being held in the form of a video conference, is led by the chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Norboyeva.
It is planned that several issues will be discussed at the next plenary meeting.
The results of the autumn session of the Members of Parliament of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held in Samarkand on 27-28 October 2022, include "On Amendments and Additions to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On State Duty", "About additions and amendments to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for women and men", "In connection with the further improvement of the corporate management system, some of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Amendments and Additions to Legislation", "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at reliable protection of the rights and legal interests of prisoners" laws.
Also, at the next plenary session, the ratification of the "Izmir Treaty (Izmir, 14 September 1996)" on "Amendments and additions to certain legal documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at reliable protection of the rights and legal interests of prisoners” It is also planned to review the laws "On ratification of the Martial Law Agreement between the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the government of the Republic of Turkey."(Tashkent, 29 March, 2022)
In addition, at the plenary session, the execution of the state budget for the end of the nine months of 2022 and the implementation of the state program for the implementation of the development strategy of New Uzbekistan for the period of 2022-2026 in the "Year of glorifying human dignity and active neighborhood" reports of the Cabinet of Ministers will be considered.
Senators will also discuss the results of the study of the work carried out to create new jobs and ensure employment in the Tashkent region and Tashkent city.
Also, at the plenary meeting, the results of the parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the negative impact of the extraction of minerals on the environment, water, and road facilities were reviewed at the plenary session.
Within the framework of the plenary meeting, it is envisaged to elect the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as to consider the issues of approval of the decisions of the Senate Council of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
