The Senate will consider a law related to migrants

The 32nd plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) will be convened on 13 September of the current year.  The decision was taken at a meeting of the council of the Upper House (Legislative Chamber) today, 7 September.

It is noted that a number of issues are planned to be discussed at the next plenary session.  In particular, senators will consider the issue of the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, a number of laws will be discussed during the plenary session.  Among them are the laws “On e-commerce”, “On foreign labor migration”, and “On electronic digital signature”.

In addition, laws “On the introduction of amendments to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the provision of the state pension to citizens” and “On the introduction of changes and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” will be considered.

The plenary session is scheduled to accept the report of the Cabinet of Ministers on the implementation of the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the budgets of State special funds for the first half of 2022, as well as information from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the activities of the first half of 2022.

Furthermore, changes in the borders of the Uchkoprik, O’zbekiston, Dangara, Koshtepa, Tashlak, Fergana districts, and the cities of Kokand, Margilan, Fergana, as well as Namangan, issues of changing the borders of the Davlatabad district and the city of Namangan in the Torakorgan district and the city of Namangan region also will be considered.

The Senators will also discuss the results of the study of the implementation of measures identified within the framework of socio-economic development programs of the Boyovut, Karshi, Alat, Bustan, and Turakurgan districts and the city of Kattakurgan.

At the plenary session, it is planned to consider the status of work with appeals in the system of state bodies and organizations in the first half of 2022.
