Saudi Arabia introduces one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a multiple-entry Umrah visa valid for 365 days from the date of issuance. The new visa allows holders to enter the country multiple times and stay for a total of up to 90 days, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

According to the report, the measure was introduced as part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative and the Pilgrim Experience Program to facilitate pilgrim visits, enhance the overall pilgrimage experience, and improve service efficiency.

Under the new rules, visa holders must purchase a service package from an approved provider on the Nusuk platform for each visit. The duration of the package must not exceed the remaining validity of the visa. Pilgrims are also required to obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk application before arriving in the Kingdom.

Each time a visitor leaves Saudi Arabia, the visa is temporarily suspended and will be reactivated for the next visit once the applicable regulatory requirements have been met. The visa will not be valid during the Hajj season.

The ministry stated that the new visa offers greater flexibility in planning visits while supporting the integration of digital and operational services throughout the pilgrim's journey.

Earlier, Saudi authorities announced that holders of all types of visas are now permitted to perform Umrah in the Kingdom. The decision was introduced to simplify procedures for pilgrims, expand access to Hajj and Umrah services, and support the objectives of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative.
