Today, on 23 August, the opening ceremony of the international tourist center “Eternal city” in Samarkand was attended by the famous singer from Great Britain Sami Yusuf, who gained great fame in the Muslim world for his religious songs. This was reported by blogger Aziza Kurbanova on the Telegram channel.
“The opening ceremony of the international tourist center “Eternal city” was attended by the famous British singer of Iranian-Azerbaijani origin, Sami Yusuf,” – Kurbanova says.
According to her, the artistic part of the opening ceremony was planned to start with the song “Birth of Meanings” written by Alisher Navoi, on the music of Sami Yusuf.
Sami Yusuf also sang in several other ethno-music scenes.
Earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to Samarkand to participate in the opening ceremony of this city.
