A three-day-old baby who was being taken out of the hospital died in a road accident in Samarkand

Yesterday, 18 October, two people and a three-day-old child died in a road traffic accident in the Jomboy district of Samarkand region.  This was reported by Samarkand TV and radio channel.

The road transport incident occurred on the 10th kilometer of the 4K-502 highway passing through the Jomboy district.

According to the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Spark driver N.N. crossed to the opposite lane and collided with a Nexia.   As a result of the accident, two people died - the driver of the Spark car and a three-day-old baby taken from the hospital.  The baby was in the Nexia car.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated by the Investigative Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Jomboy district under Article 266, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.  A preliminary investigation is currently underway.
