Volkswagen catches fire in Tashkent due to traffic accident

A traffic accident involving three cars occurred in the Yunusobod district of Tashkent, as reported by the press service of the Traffic Accident Investigation Department.  

On December 5, at 10:21 a.m., a Lacetti-2 vehicle driven by I.G., born in 1972, a Nexia Sons vehicle driven by R.R., born in 2003, and a Volkswagen Caddy driven by B.T., born in 1989, collided on the bridge on Yangi Shahar Street in the Yunusobod district.  

"A fire broke out in the Volkswagen Caddy as a result of the accident. The fire was extinguished by employees of the district department of the Federal Emergency Management Agency," the report stated. 

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.  

The Tashkent City Police Department's Traffic Safety Department and the Emergency Situations Department are investigating the incident.  

The Traffic Safety Department urged all road users to follow the rules and adhere to the established speed limits.  

It should be recalled that a similar traffic accident involving five cars occurred earlier in the Kashkadarya region, where a passenger in the Lacetti-3 was injured and hospitalized.
