Gas station in Samarkand steals nearly 6.4 billion soums worth of gas

An automobile gas filling compressor station in Jomboy district of Samarkand region has been found to have illegally used natural gas worth 6.4 billion soums. This was reported by Hududgazta’minot JSC.

According to the report, inspections are being carried out across all regions to identify cases of illegal use of natural gas. In particular, an audit was conducted at an automobile gas filling compressor station owned by Sh. LLC in the district.

During the inspection, it was found that an additional compressor had been installed at the station without authorization and outside the scope of the design and technical documentation. It was also discovered that natural gas had been used illegally beyond the meter’s permitted maximum measurement limit.

A report has been drawn up on the case, and according to preliminary calculations, the damage amounted to 6 billion 480 million soums. All documents have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, a case involving the illegal use of natural gas worth 907 million soums was uncovered in the city of Samarkand.
