30 buses and trams will be suspended in Samarkand in connection with the SCO summit

In Samarkand, during the SCO summit, public transport in the city will be limited to eight bus routes only.  

According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, public transport for residents will be launched only on bus routes 4, 7, 15, 24, 37, 74, 93, and 99 with some changes.

The remaining 28 buses, 2 tram routes, as well as taxis in two directions, will be temporarily suspended in the city of Samarkand.

Vehicles travelling on inter-urban and intercity routes follow an external ring road with eight temporary stops.

In order to ensure the movement of vehicles belonging to neighboring regions without entering the territory of the city of Samarkand, track posts were established.

In order to facilitate the work of drivers, special leaflets have been printed, as well as a mobile application indicating the permitted bypasses.

Earlier, we reported that during the SCO summit, the city of Samarkand will be closed, and traffic will be limited to 16 streets.

For reference, the next summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states will be held in Samarkand on 15-16 September of the current year.
