14116Maftuna Qahramonova, a 10th-grade student from the Jamboy district of the Samarkand region, died in a car accident at around 11:00 AM on February 19, reportedly during class hours. Her relatives suspect she may have been abducted and shared their concerns with QALAMPIR.UZ.
According to the girl's relatives, she was involved in an accident while in a Gentra car heading toward the district center. When her family arrived at the scene, they found her unrecognizable and missing one of her shoes. The second shoe was discovered in a ditch two streets away from the accident site several days later. Based on these details, the family suspects that she may have been abducted.
The deceased’s brother also stated that a young man had attempted to take her away multiple times after school and that he had personally intervened to protect his sister.
Witnesses to the incident reportedly saw the girl suffer a severe blow to the head before being forcibly dragged into a car, according to her relatives.
QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to the Samarkand Regional Traffic Safety Service for an official statement on the case. However, the service’s press secretary stated that he had no information regarding the incident.
It is worth noting that a similar tragedy occurred earlier in the same district when an 11th-grade student from School No. 54 died after crashing into a tree while driving a Lacetti.
