Videos showing students being subjected to forced labor at a school in the Payarik district of Samarkand region have circulated on social networks. The Department of Preschool and School Education of the Samarkand region has responded to this situation.
It has been confirmed that the incident occurred at the 75th General Education School in the Payarik district.
The video shows schoolchildren plowing the land with a hoe.
"The situation has been taken under the control of the Regional Preschool and School Education Department and has been referred to the responsible authorities for investigation. Detailed information on the results of the investigation will be provided," the report stated.
It is also worth noting that earlier in Andijan, the director who forced teachers to transport waste was punished.
