A prisoner serving an administrative sentence in Samarkand died (video)

A citizen who was sentenced to 15 days of administrative imprisonment in the Oqdaryo district of Samarkand region died in the hospital.  The Department of Internal Affairs of the region was informed about this.

It is noted that the citizen B.R., lived in the "Oytamgali" neighborhood of the district.  He did not pay alimony or material support to his 2 minor children.

He was sentenced to 15 days of administrative imprisonment by the decision of the Okdarya district court.

Citizen B.R. on 25 October, was taken to a special reception for keeping persons detained under the administrative procedure.

Inside the special lobby, citizen B.R. due to the deterioration of his mental condition (seizures), fell, his head hit the corner of the wall inside the room, and was injured.

Following this, the people present in the same room as him and the staff of the special reception immediately gave him first aid.  He was also taken to the Samarkand branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care, where he received medical assistance.

It turned out that even after being brought to a special reception, he was talking to himself in the room and had a mental breakdown.  Based on a letter from the head of the special reception, he was sent to the regional psychiatric hospital for an examination of his mental condition.

After that, the citizen died on 28 October in the regional psychiatric hospital located in the "Halqabad" neighborhood of the Urgut district.

Currently, the prosecutor's office is investigating the situation.

In addition, to clarify the cause of the death of the citizen, a forensic examination, and investigations of the actions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and doctors have been appointed.
