Woman and her two children were struck by a “KamAZ” truck in Samarkand

In the Samarkand area, a "KamAZ" vehicle collided with a woman and her two small children as they were crossing the pedestrian walkway. Jahongir Sagdullayev, the spokesperson for the regional Department of Internal Affairs, provided this information.
The incident occurred on June 4 at 16:30 on the 35th kilometer of the A-378 highway "Samarkand-Gozor" in the "Mehnatkash" neighborhood of the Nurobod district. The driver, identified as P.Yo. J.F., born in 1999, was behind the wheel of the KamAZ-53212 truck and hit the pedestrians while they were crossing.
As a result, the two children succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Their mother was transported to the central hospital of the Samarkand district.
Following this incident, the Investigative Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Samarkand region launched a criminal investigation under Article 266, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. The driver was apprehended in accordance with Article 227 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
