4 people died as a result of a gas explosion in Samarkand

A couple and their two grandchildren died as a result of a gas explosion in a house in Samarkand region.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Samarkand region.

It is noted that the incident happened on 17 March of this year at 05:00 a.m. in the house of A.R., who lived in the “Madrasa” neighborhood of Kattakorgan district.  A short-term explosion occurred due to careless ignition of the natural gas heating furnace in the house.  As a result, A.R. and his wife K.F. and their 2 grandchildren were placed in the district medical association for treatment with 50-60% burns.

On 26 March of this year, K.F. and the two minor grandchildren died in the Samarkand branch of the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center.  The next day, A.R. Kattakorgan died in the district medical association.

“Regarding this situation, the Kattakorgan district prosecutor’s office is conducting an investigation,” the message said.
