Cobalt crashes into Samarkand Airport, hitting scooter (video)

On September 3, a Cobalt drove into the territory of Samarkand International Airport at high speed, first breaking through a barrier and then colliding with a moving scooter carrying a driver and passenger. The incident was reported by the regional Road Safety Department.

The traffic accident occurred at around 01:00 on Ibn Sino Street in the Samarkand airport area. The driver of the Cobalt, who was exceeding the speed limit, lost control of the vehicle and struck the scooter, then crashed into the automatic barrier at the airport entrance.

The scooter driver and passenger were hospitalized as a result of the collision. A preliminary investigation into the incident is being carried out by the Samarkand City Internal Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that earlier, an 18-year-old man in the Tashkent region, who did not have a driver’s license, struck an 11th-grade student while driving his brother’s Malibu.
