7-year-old boy loses his life in an accident in Samarkand

A 7-year-old boy tragically lost his life after being struck by a Nexia-2 car in the Samarkand region. Jahongir Sagdullayev, the press secretary of the Regional Internal Affairs Department, confirmed the incident.

The accident occurred on July 3 at approximately 18:00 on Usta Umar Joraqulov Street, in the "Joyi Soy" neighborhood area of the Samarkand district. The Nexia-2 driver hit the boy, born in 2017, as he ran from right to left across an unmarked section of the road. The child was rushed to the central hospital in Samarkand city, but despite receiving medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Investigation Department of the Samarkand District DIA has opened a criminal case, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing.

It is worth noting that on July 1, around 19:20, an 8-year-old girl also died in a traffic accident in the Khatirchi district of the Navoi region.
