A mother who beat her 2-year-old child is sentenced in Samarkand

On 14 and 15 June of the current year, a woman who is a resident of the Samarkand region was convicted of striking her young child and causing bodily harm. This is reported on the Telegram channel of the Supreme Court.

The accused M.N. was charged with the intentional commitment of the crime stipulated by clause “a” and “v” of Article 110 in Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She was sentenced to two years imprisonment.

During the court proceedings, the grandmother, who is the legal representative of the infant, called the mother of the child unfit for motherhood and asked for the child to be placed under her care.

It should be recalled that the woman brutally beat her child for not sleeping. The video, which shows the situation, spread on social networks and provoked much discussion.
