Electricity theft worth 1.8 billion soums uncovered in Samarkand

2863A farm that stole electricity worth 1.8 billion soums was identified in Samarkand. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
It is noted that the head of the family enterprise "S.M." in Samarkand, A.I., and the master of the furniture workshop belonging to the enterprise, A.N., arbitrarily connected the furniture workshop to the network and engaged in illegal activities, thereby stealing electricity worth 1.8 billion soums.
It is reported that a criminal case has been initiated against I.A. and A.N. under Part 4, Article 169 (theft), Clause "a" of the Criminal Code in this case.
We would like to remind you that earlier, the "S.T." discovered that LLC officials and others had illegally used 2.1 billion soums of electricity by installing 40 mining devices in a container belonging to the company.
