Salim Abduvaliyev, popularly known as "Salimboyvachcha," has been dismissed as the head of the Sports Wrestling Association of Uzbekistan. This development was reported by QALAMPIR.UZ.
In recent elections held at the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan (NOC), the Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan, Nigmatilla Tulqinovich Yuldoshev, was elected as the new chairman of the Sports Wrestling Association.
It is noteworthy that Abduvaliyev was released from prison on January 12, 2025, due to illness. His release was in accordance with Article 75 of the Criminal Code, which provides for release from punishment due to illness or loss of working capacity.
