Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, took part in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 21–22. He shared updates about the visit on his official Telegram channel.
“The session was a fruitful platform for exchanging views on bilateral, regional, and global issues,” Saidov wrote.
He also expressed deep appreciation to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan for the high-level organization of the event and the warm hospitality extended to the participants.
According to Saidov, the Uzbek delegation held dozens of productive meetings and engaged in meaningful dialogue with partners from across the Islamic world.
“We had a comprehensive exchange of views on the pressing issues before us and discussed practical ways to ensure peace, development, and prosperity,” the minister stated.
It should be recalled that earlier this month, on June 6, Minister Saidov met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed greetings on behalf of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
