Saida Mirziyoyeva meets with European Commissioner

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan and eldest daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with European Commissioner for International Cooperation Josef Sikela in Brussels. Mirziyoyeva shared information about the meeting on her Telegram channel.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further strengthen ties between Uzbekistan and the European Union.

“Mutual relations are currently developing rapidly in the political, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. During the meeting, special attention was paid to promoting specific projects and initiatives,” the report stated.

The sides also noted the importance of fully utilizing new opportunities for cooperation emerging in Central Asia.

“We confirmed our commitment to further expanding our partnership with the EU,” Mirziyoyeva said in her report.

It is worth noting that on October 9, Saida Mirziyoyeva also met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels. On the same day, she held a meeting with Kaia Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
