Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev yesterday, June 21, during her visit to Kazakhstan, and conveyed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s sincere greetings and best wishes. Mirziyoyeva wrote about this on her Telegram channel.
The parties discussed issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.
On her social media pages, Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that Kazakhstan is not just a neighboring country for Uzbekistan, but a close friend, reliable strategic partner and ally. She also expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm reception and his firm efforts to strengthen fraternal ties between the two countries.
As part of the visit, Saida Mirziyoyeva also met with Roman Sklyar, Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan. During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the current state of Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan relations and prospects for their future development. They agreed to establish more prompt and effective mechanisms of cooperation between the presidential administrations in order to ensure the full and consistent implementation of agreements reached at the level of the heads of state.

A meeting was also held in Astana with Kazakh State Counselor Erlan Karin. During the talks, the priority areas of long-term partnership were discussed. Particular attention was paid to cultural diplomacy, the role of young people in strengthening solidarity between the two countries, and promising cooperation projects in the field of high technologies.

Saida Mirziyoyeva also familiarized herself with the activities of the Astana International Financial Centre in the Kazakh capital. She noted that studying Kazakhstan’s experience is of great importance at a time when work is underway to establish the Tashkent International Financial Center in Uzbekistan.

According to her, the exchange of experience in this area can help increase the investment attractiveness not only of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, but of the entire Central Asian region.

Earlier, Saida Mirziyoyeva took part in a meeting of the Foreign Investors Council chaired by the President of Uzbekistan. According to her, the meeting discussed the most important areas of development, including the economy, infrastructure, innovation, education and the creation of a favorable environment for business.
