Saida Mirziyoyeva attends award ceremony for Berdimuhamedov

11598Saida Mirziyoyeva, the eldest daughter of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and a presidential aide, congratulated Turkmenistan's national leader and Chairman of the People's Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on receiving the "Order of Supreme Friendship" today, April 24, in Samarkand. She shared her congratulations on her social media page.
Mirziyoyeva expressed her honor at attending the formal ceremony where Berdimuhamedov was presented with the award.
"As our President emphasized during the ceremony, Gurbanguly Malikguliyevich has made an unparalleled personal contribution to strengthening the friendship, good-neighborly relations, and strategic partnership between our fraternal nations, as well as ensuring security and stability in Central Asia.
We sincerely congratulate you on this highest honor and warmly welcome your visit to Uzbekistan!"*Mirziyoyeva wrote.
Earlier today, Saida Mirziyoyeva also met with Berdimuhamedov’s eldest daughter, Oguljahon Otaboyeva, who serves as Vice President for medical activities at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need. Together, they visited the "Inson" Social Services Center and an inclusive education center in Samarkand, where they reviewed efforts to support socially vulnerable groups and create equal education opportunities.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Samarkand on April 23. He was welcomed at the Samarkand International Airport, adorned with the flags of both nations, by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the visit, the two leaders paid tribute to Uzbekistan's First President, Islam Karimov, at the Hazrati Khizr Complex. They also participated in cultural events at the "Silk Road Samarkand" International Tourism Center, specifically in the "Eternal City" Historical-Ethnographic Park.
On April 24, Mirziyoyev and Berdimuhamedov held bilateral talks in Samarkand. Following the discussions, Berdimuhamedov was presented with Uzbekistan’s highest state award—the "Order of Supreme Friendship"—in a formal ceremony. President Mirziyoyev highlighted Berdimuhamedov’s significant contributions to strengthening traditional friendship, good-neighborly relations, and strategic partnership between the two nations.
