Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan and the eldest daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and her youngest sister, Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, first deputy director of the National Agency for Social Protection, attended a concert by world-renowned Italian singer Andrea Bocelli in Samarkand yesterday, September 1. Saida Mirziyoyeva shared this on her Telegram page.
Saida Mirziyoyeva attended the concert with her children—Miromon, Saodatkhon, and Shavkatjon—while Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva was accompanied by her youngest daughter, Rania. Other members of the President’s family, including the first lady’s sister Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva and her daughter Diyora Usmonova, were also present.

“Samarkand is becoming a center of international cultural exchange every day. This ancient city with a rich historical heritage is today proving itself as a place where cultures and traditions of different peoples are united. This undoubtedly opens the way to new promising opportunities for our country and the entire region,” she wrote.

The head of the administration highly praised Bocelli’s performance.

“The concert of the famous tenor Andrea Bocelli, which took place on September 1 at Registan Square, was another proof of this. The artist’s unique voice echoed throughout the square, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan,” she said.
For context, Andrea Bocelli is an internationally acclaimed Italian tenor known for blending classical and pop music. He has sold more than 90 million albums and is famous for hits such as “Time to Say Goodbye.” Bocelli has performed on prestigious stages worldwide, including for US presidents, Popes, and the British Royal Family.
Ticket prices for his concerts vary by region. In the United States in 2025, the cheapest tickets range from $68–121, while the most expensive can cost between $1,000–13,000.
Bocelli’s concert in Samarkand was organized by the Foundation for the Development of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, although ticket prices for this event were not disclosed.
