5017On September 17, a person attempting to import firearms into Uzbekistan was arrested at Tashkent International Airport. This was reported by the specialized customs complex "Tashkent-AERO."
The individual arrived on a flight from Yekaterinburg to Tashkent. During the inspection of his green travel bag, customs officers discovered a "Stalker" pneumatic pistol that was not declared during customs control, was not reported during the oral inquiry, and lacked the necessary permits from the internal affairs authorities. Additionally, 860 bullets were found.
An investigation is currently underway.
For reference, on August 22 of this year, a foreigner attempting to bring an air gun into Uzbekistan was detected at Tashkent International Airport. A black travel bag belonging to the foreigner, who arrived on a flight from St. Petersburg to Tashkent, was inspected by customs. The inspection revealed an air gun and a pneumatic gun, which were not declared for customs control and lacked the appropriate permits from the internal affairs authorities, along with 290 pellets for shooting.
