A criminal case has been initiated against a 63-year-old resident of Volzhsk, Russia, for illegally registering eight Uzbek citizens at her residence. This was reported by "Tsargrad".
According to the report, although the migrants were officially registered at the woman’s address, they did not actually reside there. The violation was uncovered during a workplace inspection.
The operation was conducted jointly by officers of the Russian police and the Federal Security Service (FSB). During the raid, more than 100 individuals were checked, and six people were found to have violated migration regulations.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Interior Minister Vitaly Yakovlev addressed the issue of migrant-related offenses during the International Conference on “Peace, Sustainable Development and Migration” held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. He stated that in the first quarter of this year, 35.5 percent of crimes committed by foreign nationals in Russia involved citizens of Uzbekistan. Citizens of Tajikistan were responsible for 16.6 percent, while Kyrgyz nationals accounted for 11.5 percent.
