4464In the Russian city of Khabarovsk, a foreign citizen was caught recruiting Uzbek citizens to join a terrorist organization, according to information from the regional Federal Security Service.
"A person born in one of the Central Asian countries, who was involved in terrorist activities, has been arrested. The detained individual recruited citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan to undergo training and participate directly in the activities of an international terrorist organization," the statement said.
Following the actions of the accused, a case has been initiated under Article 205.1, Part 1.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Assisting with Terrorist Activities).
The suspect is now under arrest, and the investigation is ongoing.
