Uzbeks involved in road accident in Russia: 1 dead, 5 injured

One Uzbek citizen has died and five others were injured in a road accident near the Dergachi settlement in the Dergachevsky district of Russia's Saratov region. The information was confirmed by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan.
The accident occurred on April 16 at approximately 01:10 at the 519th kilometer of the Tambov–Penza–Saratov–Pristanoye–Yershov–Ozinki highway. A Lada Largus vehicle carrying Uzbek citizens collided with a truck parked along the A298 highway.
According to the Saratov Regional Department of Internal Affairs, one passenger of the Lada Largus, a man born in 1987, died at the scene. The driver, born in 1968, and four other passengers — men born in 2005 and 1991, and women born in 1980 and 2002 — sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan has taken the situation under control. Contact has been established with the relevant authorities of the Saratov region. Repatriation procedures for the deceased citizen have begun, while the injured are receiving medical treatment.

It should be recalled that in February of this year, three Uzbek citizens lost their lives in a separate traffic accident involving a Lada Largus and a SIMAZ bus in the Osa district of the Perm region, Russia.
