12068On March 30, a local woman called the police, reporting that her son had witnessed a kidnapping. According to the report, a group of 6–7 men assaulted a migrant on Khalturin Street and forced him into a nearby car. The victim’s companion voluntarily entered the vehicle, which then fled the scene.
Shortly after, the victim’s 23-year-old brother also contacted the police. He stated that unknown individuals had called him, claiming they were holding his younger brother, Shokhbozbek, and demanding 40,000 rubles for his release.
Witnesses confirmed seeing the group assault the young man and force him into a car near 15/4 Khalturin Street at 7:25 PM on March 30. Six suspects, aged between 20 and 45, were later apprehended. They were also identified as foreign nationals. The kidnapped man was found near 9 Stachek Avenue and reportedly knew some of the suspects beforehand.
The six suspects, along with the victim, were placed in detention (the victim was found to have violated migration regulations). A criminal case has been initiated, and authorities are determining the appropriate measures to take against the suspects. The investigation is ongoing to uncover all details of the incident.
Previously, in Saint Petersburg, a 27-year-old Uzbek chef was assaulted, and his car was stolen.
