Twelve citizens of Uzbekistan, who had lost their passports and worked without pay for several months, have been successfully repatriated. The Foreign Labor Migration Agency reported this development.

It was discovered that these twelve Uzbeks had been lured to work in a bakery and confectionery store in the Republic of Chuvashia based on false information they encountered on social networks.

Once at their workplace, the employer seized their passports and exploited them without providing any wages for several months while using them to complete various documents. Adding to their distress, the employer refused to return the passports and fled to an unknown location.

With the combined efforts of the representative office of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, and representatives of the Uzbek diaspora, these citizens were provided with shelter and provided with hot meals.

Furthermore, the agency successfully facilitated the repatriation of all twelve citizens to Uzbekistan.
