On December 15, 15 Uzbek children who had been left without parental care in Russia were safely returned to Uzbekistan, according to the National Agency for Social Protection.

The repatriation process was carried out with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan. Initially, efforts were made to bring back 10 children from six regions of Russia. However, during the process, it was discovered that five more children were also in need of assistance. As a result, all 15 children were repatriated to Uzbekistan.

Upon their arrival, 10 of the children were placed in the Center for Social Legal Assistance to Minors, while the remaining 5 were temporarily housed in the Children's Home in Tashkent until they could be reunited with their families.

It should be noted that earlier, with the support of Russian law enforcement agencies, three minor citizens of Uzbekistan were returned home from the cities of Novosibirsk and Moscow under international agreements.
