Norov informs Lavrov about the constitutional reform

Russia was informed about the progress and priorities of the constitutional reforms that started in Uzbekistan.  This was discussed at a meeting with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov held in Moscow on 12 July this year.

It discussed the issues of further strengthening of Uzbekistan-Russia strategic partnership relations.

It was noted that the parties are in favor of further activation of mutually beneficial constructive political dialogue, trade-economic cooperation, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.

Particular attention is paid to the comprehensive implementation of agreements reached high-level meetings.  The parties exchanged views on current issues of the world and regional politics. It was agreed to continue cooperation within the UN, CIS, SCO, and other international institutions.

Organizational and substantive aspects of future events, including the meeting of the council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states, which will be held in Tashkent on 28-29 July 2022, were discussed.
