Seven new state fees for migrants may be introduced in Russia starting from September this year. This was reported by "Izvestia", citing a draft law prepared by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

According to the draft law, foreign citizens will have to pay 500 rubles to register at their place of residence. A fee of 1,000 rubles will be charged for extending the period of temporary residence, and 4,200 rubles for obtaining a work permit.

Additional fees will apply for the issuance of duplicates and amendments to certain documents, including work permits and patents. Obtaining or making changes to these documents will cost 2,100 rubles, while obtaining or reissuing a patent will cost 4,200 rubles.

The state fee for registering foreign nationals at their place of residence will also increase to 1,000 rubles, up from the current 420 rubles.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the proposed changes are aimed at strengthening regulatory control in light of the growing volume of migration.

It is worth recalling that Valery Fadeyev, Chairman of the Council for Civil Society and Human Rights under the President of Russia, earlier called for the deportation of families of labor migrants whose children are not enrolled in Russian schools.
