Three Uzbek citizens in a difficult situation in the Russian city of Novosibirsk have been returned to Uzbekistan as part of the charity campaign “Return to Homeland,” the "Dunyo" news agency reported.
The Consulate General issued certificates for their return, and the citizens arrived in Uzbekistan on August 4.
For reference, on July 30 — the World Day Against Human Trafficking — the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Employment, the Migration Agency, the Family and Women’s Committee, and law enforcement agencies launched the “Return to Homeland” campaign, which will run until August 30. The campaign focuses on returning Uzbek citizens facing hardship abroad and supporting their reintegration into society.
Priority is being given to women and children held in deportation centers in Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, the United States, and South Korea.
It is worth noting that an Uzbek woman who had traveled to Russia’s Chelyabinsk region for work but fell into financial difficulty was also brought back to Tashkent.
